Step 8: Press on the model of the polygon cube again, create an orange outline like you did in the last step but drag the polygon edge loops to the ends of the polygon creating two lines like so.
Step 11: Select the inside centre faces and go to select extrude again before clicking W on the keyboard and moving the faces outwards so that they should start bending into the shell of your corridor.
Step 12: After you have selected the faces on the inside you will need to do it again and extrude them inwards instead of outwards. Then you should pull the faces out which will end up ending the doors for your corridor later on.
Step 13: Once you've made your door, press CMD D to duplicate it. You have to do this at least three times, but only before spacing them out. Make sure to do this process multiple times until your corridor is created.
Step 14: Now that your corridor is created, you might notice some faces may not be in the right colour or texture, This is because the faces have gone black. However, when you add the textures to the whole model the colour won't be black anymore.
Step 15: As you have now made the corridor and the door, to make the corridor look better and have more style, then add a texture. Step 4: You will want to be able to move around the area of the whole polygon in other words the workplace. In order to do this, you will need to hold 'ALT' and 'left click' to rotate to wherever you want to on the workplace. Another thing you can do is whilst holding 'ALT' you can also hold down on the middle button on your mouse (button 3) so that you can centre the polygon better and more accurate on your screen.
Step 5: Now that you have centred and adjusted your polygon to its best fit, you can now select the cub by simply pressing by right clicking it. You will want to press 'R' on the keyboard. This means that you can now enlarge and stretch the cube in the shape of a door. You should naturally adjust the height and width making a door.
Step 6: After you have made your door in the right fit, you will want to head over to mesh tools (top of Maya app), then press 'Insert edge loop'. By doing this, you create multiple edge loops so you can change singular parts to the polygon. However, in this case you want to change the edge loops to the amount of one.
Step 7: Click on the polygon model edge to create an edge loop to the centre. Once you have done this, you should see an orange line splitting the shape.
Step 8: Press on the model of the polygon cube again, create an orange outline like you did in the last step but drag the polygon edge loops to the ends of the polygon creating two lines like so.
Step 9: After you have created your two edge loops, you will want to click both of the top faces on both ends. This can be completed by holding 'CMD' and 'SHIFT' at the same time. After you have selected these faces, you have to extrude the faces upwards to create the sides of your door. 'Extrude' is found underneath 'EDIT MESH' at the top of Maya.
Step 10: Since you have made the sides you want, you have to use insert edge loop once again. This is so that you can place the lines, but you need to make sure that both lines are equal on both sides.
Step 11: Select the inside centre faces and go to select extrude again before clicking W on the keyboard and moving the faces outwards so that they should start bending into the shell of your corridor.
